At the heart of all I do is a simple yet powerful mission: to equip and empower. This calling unfolds in two deeply meaningful ways—through Orton-Gillingham tutoring for students with dyslexia or other reading challenges, and through offering spiritual direction to those seeking a deeper, more attentive life with God.
As someone with dyslexia, I remember the frustration, self-doubt, and loneliness that often accompany the struggle to read. Those early experiences shaped my passion for helping children feel seen, supported, and capable. Trained through the Orton-Gillingham Academy, I use a structured, multisensory approach tailored to each student’s unique learning needs. Every session is more than academic instruction—it’s a chance to build confidence, celebrate growth, and offer the kind of compassionate support I once needed myself.
With over 25 years of experience in both education and ministry, I bring a deep love for spiritual formation and a heart for walking alongside others in their faith journeys. I currently serve as the Director of Spiritual Formation at Copper Creek Church in Champaign, Illinois, and am certified through the Fall Creek Abbey School of Spiritual Direction. As a member of Spiritual Directors International (SDI) and Christ-centered Spiritual Direction Association (CSDA), I remain committed to ongoing growth, integrity, and care in the sacred work of spiritual direction.
Outside of my work, I find joy in hiking with my husband, tending to my garden, and sharing life with friends and family. These rhythms of connection and creation help keep me rooted in gratitude and the quiet beauty of everyday life.
